Planning ProceduresAll files over 5 years old are held in storage and must be requested 2 – 3 working days in advance. The fee for inspecting a file over 5 years old is €25.00
If you wish to make an appointment with a Planning Officer, it is necessary to telephone the relevant Planning Officer. If there is no reply from the Planning Officers phone, please leave a message stating your name, number and a brief message (including Planning Reference no. where available) on their voicemail. It is not possible to meet a Planning Officer without a prior appointment.
Planning Searches are not carried out by Leitrim County Council. The Planning Register is available during office hours.
Any person wishing to report an Unauthorised Development must do so in writing
Pre Planning Clinics The Planning Department, when necessary, organise pre-planning clinics throughout the County. The pre-planning clinics will firstly address any backlog of pre-planning enquiries. Each area will have a specific person assigned to an area, along with two senior planners, who will oversee the process. Please complete the appropriate
Pre Planning Application Form and the assigned Planner will contact you and if necessary pre-planning clinics will take place on the following days.
