How to become a member
A person who is applying for library membership is required to complete a membership form. This allows a user to borrow books, use the internet and use our on line resources. Registering you as a borrower takes only a short time and you will be able to borrow books, use the public computers and have access to our on line recourses immediately.

How many books or items may I borrow at any one time?
The number is unlimited.
How long may I keep borrowed items for?
You may keep books for one month.
May I renew my books?
Yes certainly. You may renew your books by telephone twice, and three times at the branch library from which you borrowed them. You may also renew them over the internet and you need a PIN number to do this. A PIN number may be acquired by asking the librarian at the issue desk of your branch library for one.
Overdue Books
Books borrowed become overdue after one month. You can avoid paying fines by renewing your books, either by telephone, over the internet or by bringing them back to your branch library where you may renew them at the issue desk. Fines are charged at a rate of 20 c per book per week.
How much does it cost to borrow a book?
The charge for an adult borrowing is 30c per book for one month. Children may borrow books free of charge.

How much does it cost to borrow aVideo or DVD or Language Course?
€2.50
Can I use the library if I am not a member?
Yes indeed you can. You do not have to be a member to use the library. You only need to be a member if you wish to borrow items from the library and to use the public computers.
