We wish to bring to your attention that Leitrim County Council will no longer be processing New student grant applications with effect fromthe 2012/13 academic year.
However, if you are already in receipt of a grant from Leitrim County Council, you will continue to be assessed and paid by Leitrim CountyCouncil.
Notice from the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI)
Arrangements for New Student Grant Applications for 2012/13;
- A new ONLINE ONLY student grant application system has been introduced for the 2012/13 academic year through Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) a unit of City of Dublin VEC, through www.studentfinance.ie
- Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) will be accepting all new student grant applications, including applications from existing students changing their courses or progressing to new courses (be they add-on courses or otherwise) in the 2012/13 academic year
- Click on http://www.studentfinance.ie/mp9540/new-grant-applications-for-2012-13/index.html to make a new application for student grant for 2012/13
If you are already in receipt of a grant:
- Students who are currently in receipt of a student grant and who are progressing to the next year of the same course will continue to be assessed and paid by their existing awarding authorities – i.e. the relevant Local Authority or Vocational Educational Committee. If you are changing your course or progressing to a new course you will need to apply to the SUSI online system.
