There are three Working Groups - Economic Development, Social Inclusion Measures and Cultural Development. These Working Groups are comprised of Board Members and in certain cases, additional key people who have subject matter expertise in that area. These Working Groups meet about four times a year. They review progress on different projects and also work jointly on new issues that emerge.
A Regional Infrastructure Group was also established in 2005 which involves counties in the border and West region. This Group focus on regional infrastructure that affects more than one county e.g. electricity, rail, airports, broadband etc. The aim of the Group is to strengthen the position of the counties in both maintaining and upgrading such regional infrastructure.
The Board and Working Groups have just completed the Review of the County Development Board Strategy 2006-2008 and Action Plan 2009-2012
