On the club development side of our Goal For Peace project we are holding a Financial Management Workshop will be held on Thursday 5th May at 7pm in Leitrim County Council Chamber. The Financial Management Workshop will focus on financial management for small clubs and the role of the treasurer within the club. This workshop aims to identify and define the role and duties of the Treasurer within the club and look at basic management of finances for a small club. As well we will be looking at Fundraising for Clubs, see below for more information.
This promises to be informative with an opportunity for clubs to ask questions and share ideas with Paul Martyn coming down again to lead the workshop on Fundraising for Clubs to follow on from the last one which was Volunteer Recruitment back in February. Again is open to all committee members within your clubs.
The workshop is designed for people running the clubs(the committee), so it may be good for your club to get as many of your own committee members to attend on the night. See below for more information. This workshop is free and open to all sports clubs to attend.
To attend the above workshop - Please contact Stephen on 071-9620005 ext.330 by the Friday 29th April.
Fundraising for Clubs
These workshops are aimed at Club volunteers who are
fundraising or pursue sponsorship but want to improve on
current fundraising activities, or wish to secure major and
multi year gifts for a capital campaign.
The aim of the workshop is to help participants develop a
sustainable strategy for fundraising / sponsorship and
significantly increase their income. It also aims to have
club’s better organised for fundraising. The aim is to use
best practice to create good will and long term supporters.
