How are Water Charges Bills Calculated?
A water Inspector takes meter readings quarterly and these are input by Water Charges Staff and bills are then generated using the charges as outlined
Why are some accounts Fixed and some Metered?
In accordance with the Governments Water Services Pricing Policy Framework and the requirements for the universal metering of the non-domestic water services sector by 2006, all non-domestic customers are now metered.
All customers (non-domestic) will now have a fixed and a variable element to their bill. Every customer is now metered.
The non-domestic customer will be charged an annual fixed charge of €60 plus a consumption charge of €1.10 per cubic meter for water and €1.18 per cubic meter for sewerage.
Who is responsible for leaks?
Responsibility for leaks depends on the location of the leak. Any leak on the consumer side of the meter is the responsibility of the consumer and up to the meter is the Council’s responsibility.
