The Local Government (Charges) Act 2009 introduced a €200 annual charge on Non Principal Private Residences, payable to the Local Authority in whose area the property concerned is located.
Payments were for 2009 were due by 30th September 2009. A €20 per month, per property, late payment fee has been applied from 1st November in respect of each month for which the 2009 payment is overdue.
Payments for 2010 fall due as of 31st March 2010. Customers have a period of two months to complete their 2010 registrations or renewal, up to the 30th June 2010. From the 1st July 2010 a late payment of €20 per month will be applied to the 2010 Charge.
Registration & Payment of the charge can be made:
1. on-line at www.nppr.ie
2. Alternatively, renewal or registration forms can be downloaded, completed and forwarded with payment (cheque /bank draft/postal order made payable to NPPR) to NPPR, Po. Box 11654, Dublin 8.
