Lough Rynn Regatta 2016

The Connacht Branch of Rowing Ireland has pleasure in announcing its inaugural annual Regatta in Lough Rynn, Mohill, Co. Leitrim on Saturday the 14th of May.

The top class facility developed at Lough Rynn by Leitrim County Council is 2,000 meters long with eight lanes, and it is very accessible from the North, South and East of Ireland. It has a number of major advantages, including dependable water levels, a 1,000 metre area at one end of the course where crews can warm up and cool down, and a north-south orientation, which should mean the course would rarely be adversely affected by windy conditions. The Regatta Committee are looking forward to welcoming all competitors to what promises to be a great day’s racing on a superb regatta course.

Parking will be available in Lough Rynn Hotel Golf Course Site, parking will be free of charge. The carpark is 1.2km away from the enclosure and a shuttle bus will be provided throughout the day; free of charge.

Lough Rynn Regatta Committee would be delighted if anyone wishing to become involved with this event could contact them directly, as volunteers are always needed to ensure the success of such events and no training or previous is required for most tasks on the day.

Full information on the event is available here.

Everyone’s cooperation will ensure a safe and efficiently run regatta, and we wish the best of luck to all on the day.
