Service Indicators

Leitrim County Council reports annually on performance as measured by nationally set Service Indicators.   The 2010 National Service Indicators have been compiled and published. 

In 2004 the number of National Service Indicators was increased from 21 to 42. A national review of Service Indicators was undertaken in 2007 and a number of amendments were proposed to the Indicators in 2008 - some indicators were dropped, others were amended and a range of new indicators were introduced. The total number of National Service Indicators is now 46.

Leitrim County Council also developed a series of Local Indicators which set targets and minimum periods for actions, processing times and response times for different services..
 
Service Indicators are a useful yardstick by which the public can determine the performance of their local authority. Reports detailing the results from each individual local authority in relation to the 46 National Service Indicators for 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 are outlined below.
