2006 Customer Service Survey:
While we are proud of our record of service delivery we recognise that further improvements can always be achieved and we are anxious to establish customer satisfaction levels in relation to the services provided by Leitrim County Council. We welcome and value feedback, and comments and suggestions for improvement, and in this regard we conducted a general Customer Service Survey, similar to the general survey which was carried out in Autumn 2004 - View Customer Survey 2004. Survey Forms were issued to 1585 randomly selected customers across the range of services. The Survey Form was available at all of our public points of contact (Public Counters, Area Offices, Libraries, etc) and for completion on-line. The survey was anonymous and FREEPOST envelopes were provided with the hard-copy forms.
The responses we received were collated, reviewed and analysed and a feedback report has been published outlining the survey results and the actions proposed to be taken to address any issues arising out of the survey - View Customer Survey 2006
2005 Customer Survey:
In 2005 we conducted a Survey in relation to the Higher Education Grant Scheme administered by Leitrim County Council. 335 Survey forms issued to all New and Renewal applicants for 2005/2006 academic year. A total of 143 completed survey forms were submitted, and while the overall outcome was very positive there were a number of issues highlighted. View Customer Survey 2005
The Minister for Education and Science announced proposed changes to the administration of the various Grant Schemes, following a review of the various College Grants Schemes. The proposed changes are that a single agency will administer one grant scheme in place of the four different schemes that operate at present, and are administered by the Local Authorities and the Vocational Education Committees. Details are not yet available as to when this new system will be in place.
