Creative Sector

Under phase I of the Upper Shannon Erne initiative the creative group focused on identifying priorities for the region and secured agreement from a diverse group on four initiatives around film, use of vacant workspace, international trade opportunities and networking including continued professional development.

Since then the group has been involved in the development of a Blueway Arts & Crafts trail map covering counties Cavan, Leitrim, Longford and Roscommon. Group meetings are used as an opportunity to network and learn from each others experiences. Group training is also provided when a specific need is identified.

Creative Frame is a new user driven continuous professional development network designed to facilitate the ongoing training and development requirements of practitioners in the creative sector in Leitrim and the wider region. Creative Momentum

Creative Momentum is a new transnational project with partners in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Iceland, Sweden and Finland which will focus on developing the creative industries, including craft, in areas such as skills, exports and networking. The project will be officially launched at the end of October 2015 and activities will start after that.  If you sign up to the newsletter on the website you will get updates on all its activities. The Upper Shannon Erne Future Economy Creative Craft Group supported by Leitrim LEO is running a FREE half day workshop tomorrow, Wed27th of April 2016 in The Bush Hotel, Carrick On Shannon, Co.
